Glow is the second album from Shotgun "Metalheads-saved-by-the-power-of-Pop" Politics. Recorded over a year, it provides the signature party-rock sound of the Gunns coupled with acoustic guitars, a glockenspiel and (YES) a 12-piece CHOIR! If their former album "Broadcast" gives a good impression of how they sound live, then "Glow" shows how they would want to sound live. Shotgun!!

獻給都市中每一個想逃出來的靈魂。
整張專輯在音樂上、歌詞上都有一個完整概念。這是一個自我尋覓、發現的旅程。專輯每一首歌都是關於都市人自己的一些問題，與及在一個自我尋覓的過程中如何去處理這些問題。包括面對自己的過去、太忙停不下來、尋歡作樂的渴望、失眠、每日生活一式一樣、環境污染、天氣…等等。

第一天
「秋冬交接草木結霜」，時間如流沙，在流沙中前行有如原地踏步，過去流逝的光陰片段，似是從未發生過。《01 流沙 Parts I-IV》 從烈日當空開始，到日落，再到夜深，在回憶光陰片段中迷失，思考如何面對自己的過去。

第二天
《02 閑》是白天的工作，太忙了。「一呼一吸牽引著魂魄脈搏」，甚麼時候才可以停下來？當你想停的時候，才發覺自己仍在身不由己地向前衝；當你想靜下來的時候，才發現腦海裡面百般思緒在心頭，揮之不去。
《03 尋歡作樂》是黑夜的出走。畢竟，誰沒有動搖過？你、我、他，都只是凡人一個。無論白光下多白，黑暗裡總會藏著那一點黑，然後獨自等「明日清醒過後，從頭再安睡 」。

第三天
白天清醒過後是《04 蔓延》，發覺都市中大家都太忙， 怕去打擾各自的生活，日子一天一天地過去，大家都錯過了太多。《05 暮》以鐘聲為黑夜展開序幕，描繪日落暮色景象，然後夜晚《06 循環》失眠，發覺自己過著一式一樣的生活，每天不斷重覆，望著鏡子才明白其實所有問題都源於自己。

第四天
白天從《07 缺氧》開始，都市空氣混濁，如躺在水中昏睡，浮浮沉沉，不知不覺睡著了，《08 彌留》 讓意識自由漂浮，進入深層次的冥想。《09 過期》從前的問題應該要放低，已成過去了，卻仍是身不由己。天空黑沉沉、冷冰冰，烏雲漫天，《10 沒有音樂的天氣》入夜，而心情由當初對天氣的煩厭，變成對未來的樂觀與期待。

第五天
緊接第四天之後凌晨是《11 立春》。天寒地凍，在家坐著閒著，望著大雪大雨大霧的天色，以樂觀的心境靜靜等待真正的春天天氣降臨。發覺夜已深，獨個兒走到人來人往的街上，把遺憾、問題都致諸身後，明白遺憾也罷，捨不得也罷，平靜地回家睡一覺過後，天便要亮，是時候來一個新的開始，以《12 Night is Falling》完結。

音樂風格
整張專輯是一個55分鐘的完整的音樂旅程。序章引言《流沙Parts I-IV》以八分鐘的art/prog rock定下專輯整體音樂旅程的語境，緊接而來一首是upbeat的space rock與一首較慢的另類英倫搖滾。搖滾過後是一首抒情的dreampop《蔓延》，之後五首歌慢慢踏入冥想式的電子、trip-hop、迷幻的世界。冥想過後，回到愁雲慘霧的倫敦brit-rock，然後隨著天色變化，漸漸回到art rock、acoustic的抒情世界。最後以《Night Is Falling》這首jazz味濃厚的純音樂完結整個旅程。
這張專輯可以在夜闌人靜的時候帶上耳機，關上燈、閉上眼，躺下來靜靜欣賞。放下煩囂世俗的所有問題、牽掛，讓情緒感覺隨著音樂牽動起伏，走過這個55分鐘的音樂旅途。

Here is their self intro:
After a year of casual playing just the two of us, we had a cluster of songs lying around that we didn’t know what to do with. We got into the studio with the ever-kindly Koya, here and there were when had time, and – gradually over a few months, little by little, inch by inch – we put an EP together. We went for a live sound – a little raw, not too polished – but structured as far as possible so that just having two people didn’t mean ‘boring’. We also, we felt, had added a kind of sweetness to the music that we hadn’t hit on before in any of our other incarnations in music scenes in Hong Kong or the UK. We wanted to give some of our favourites away for free, simply because it’s nice to get them out there. We hope you like them.xx
